Śruti Saṅgha
A temple of sound that reflects a space for contemplation and study of traditional Indian prayers, Vedic chanting, and devotional singing. At the moment, the space is digital, but throughout the year I share some workshops, courses, and classes in collaboration with community and yoga spaces around the world.

About Inês Ritto
Inês RItto is rooted in the contemplative traditions of Yoga, Vedānta, and sacred sound. Her work unfolds at the meeting point of movement, devotion, and attentive listening, where yoga is approached not merely as physical practice, but as a contemplative discipline and a way of inquiry into the nature of being.
Her journey into Yoga began in 2005 and deepened through formative study with teachers including Cátia Manuel and Miguel Homem, with whom she also began her study of Vedānta. She later continued her training with Pedro Kupfer, completing the first module of Yoga teacher training in 2010 and the second in 2019. In 2011, she began teaching regularly in Slovenia, where she lived and shared the practice for several years before returning to Portugal.
Now based in the Algarve, she continues an ongoing immersion in the study of Vedānta, Sanskrit, traditional Indian prayers, and Vedic chanting under the guidance of teacher Paulo Abreu Vieira, whose teaching has been a constant source of inspiration and refinement in her path. She collaborates regularly with the Arshavidya Center, offering online classes and participating in retreats dedicated to contemplative study and practice.
Alongside her work in Yoga and chanting, her exploration of sacred sound has expanded into the study of dhrupad under the guidance of teacher Ricardo Passos, with whom she has studied for the past years. More recently, she has been deepening her practice of Nāda Yoga and Carnatic music, drawn by their profound relationship between sound, silence, and contemplative awareness.
Grounded in both discipline and devotion, her teaching integrates traditional yogic wisdom with a sensitive approach to practice. Whether through mantra, prayer, or sound, her work invites a return to stillness, presence, and a deeper recognition of our inherent connection with the Whole.
Teaching Tradition
Her approach is grounded in the living tradition of teaching, honoring a lineage of study and practice transmitted from teacher to student across generations.

TEACHERS
Paulo Abreu Vieira
His dedication to Yoga and Vedānta began in 2004, during which time he devoted three and a half years to the intensive study of Vedānta, Sanskrit, Vedic chanting and spiritual practices at his master's residence, Svāmī Dayānānda Sarasvatī, at Āṛṣa Vidyā Gurukulam, located in the mountains near Anaikatti, India, which included the study of Upaniṣads, Bhagavadgītā, Brahma-sūtra and Vedic chanting. This period of intense immersion solidified his commitment to the Vedic tradition, which he maintains to this day through the founding of the Āṛṣavidyā Center and the teaching of Vedānta, Sanskrit, Stotrams and Vedic Chanting.
