Śruti Saṅgha
A temple of sound that reflects a space for contemplation and study of traditional Indian prayers, Vedic chanting, and devotional singing. At the moment, the space is digital, but throughout the year I share some workshops, courses, and classes in collaboration with community and yoga spaces around the world.

About me
Curious by nature, inspired by art and creativity, I found in Yoga and Vedic Chanting an inner space for contemplation and devotion. I began my journey into Yoga in 2005. In 2007, I began taking classes with Cátia Manuel and in 2008 with Miguel Homem, a teacher with whom I also began studying Vedānta. In 2010, I completed the first training module with Pedro Kupfer, and in 2011 I began teaching Yoga regularly in Slovenia, where I lived for approximately four years. After returning to Portugal, this time to the Algarve where I currently live, I continued my study of Vedānta and took classes in traditional Indian prayers and, later, in Vedic chanting with teacher Paulo Abreu Vieira, also completing module II of yoga instructor training with Pedro Kupfer in 2019. I teach yoga and traditional Indian prayers regularly, both in person and online, and I collaborate with the Arshavidya Center, offering online classes to students at the Center and also at retreats. I continue to study Sanskrit and Vedānta regularly with Professor Paulo Vieira, who has been a constant inspiration in the development of this journey. For the past two years, I have been learning and studying dhrupāda with Professor Ricardo Passos. In addition to dhrupāda, in 2025 I began to deepen my practice of Nāda Yoga. This entire journey has been a homecoming, and I believe that all these practices and disciplines converge in this art and way of life that connects us to the Whole.
Teachers with whom I learn
I believe that in order to move forward and continue to deepen our study and assimilation of knowledge, continuous learning with other teachers is important. Here I refer to some of the teachers with whom I study regularly and to whom I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to learn.

TEACHERS
Paulo Abreu Vieira
His dedication to Yoga and Vedānta began in 2004, during which time he devoted three and a half years to the intensive study of Vedānta, Sanskrit, Vedic chanting and spiritual practices at his master's residence, Svāmī Dayānānda Sarasvatī, at Āṛṣa Vidyā Gurukulam, located in the mountains near Anaikatti, India, which included the study of Upaniṣads, Bhagavadgītā, Brahma-sūtra and Vedic chanting. This period of intense immersion solidified his commitment to the Vedic tradition, which he maintains to this day through the founding of the Āṛṣavidyā Center and the teaching of Vedānta, Sanskrit, Stotrams and Vedic Chanting.

TEACHERS
Ricardo Passos
Ricardo Passos is a Portuguese musician and multi-instrumentalist who presents sounds from around the world based on his travels and experiences, where he learns and collects instruments from different cultures. Following the ancient tradition of passing on knowledge from master to student, Ricardo Passos teaches classes online or in person. He teaches various instruments in individual or group lessons.
